Zambia gets internet connection boost via Namibia

// July 21st, 2009 // 1 Comment » // Africa

It has finally happened, according to 2 sources Zambia has officially gotten an internet connection boost. It is about time, we all say.

Zambia’s internet service provision is set to enter a new era as the country will now be using fiber-optic link with Namibia to improve access to the web. Zamnet Communications System, an ISP, has set up an Internet gateway to Europe using a fiber-optic link from Zambia to Namibia.

What is this going to mean for e-commerce and development of internet technologies in Zambia? Leave us a comment.
