2010 and Positive Affirmations

// January 18th, 2010 // Africa

Positive affirmations are absolute statements that you consistently say to yourself. If you echo these statements you will will actualize absolute subconscious thoughts. In turn, these absolute hidden thoughts will actualize will create a positive subconscious mind. Your mind controls every aspect of your life.

These positive thoughts, once instated, will reinforce the new positive inner-image you have of yourself. You will be replacing old negative thinking with new positive thinking and doing it at a subconscious level. This will give you access to all the positive energy you have within yourself. This will help you create a new positive reality.

When using positive affirmations, it’s important to let yourself really feel them. You need to fully experience the emotions of each one. You must believe that each affirmation is true. This will help your positive changes happen more quickly.

The first 30 days are usually the make or break when it comes to positive affirmations. It takes about 21 days to make a change in your mental image, for some it may be longer. I suggest 30 to be safe. Writing them down until you know them by heart is a good way to start. If you are using them as frequently as you should, it will not take long.

Positive affirmations can be used during personal time in the bathroom, getting ready in the morning, washing your hands, brushing your teeth, before each meal or going to sleep at night. Try to create a time of day good for you, which you will remember each and everyday. Create a trigger, for example, an alarm, using the washroom, brushing your teeth, etc. You can do anything you can think of. I used to tape mine above my bed, in my mirrors, on my refrigerator door, across from the toilet…you name it.

Doing your best to get rid of negative thoughts will help increase your chances of success with positive affirmations. As soon as you notice you are thinking negatively, stop, notice and eject the thought.

Most of humanity have overly negative minds, that was how we were raised. As you become conscious of your thought patterns, notice when your thoughts are negative and eject them. Usually, it takes times to notice these thoughts because we are caught up in the moment and acting unconsciously, but with practice, you can catch these negative as they are happening. And before long, you will become conscious of them before they even begin.

    Very true my dear! What are some of your affirmations?
    I've been saying this recently, "I am willing to let go, I release. I let go. I release all tension. I release all fear. I release all anger. I release all guilt. I release all sadness. I let go of all limitations. I let go, and I am at peace. I am at peace with myself. I am at peace with the process of life. I am safe." I find when you put yourself into a peaceful state first, it becomes easy for affirmations to take hold. When I say my affirmations now I feel strength, power, and happiness! I actually feel like laughing when I say them because im soooo happy and I believe that it is true for me. Give it a try!
